Security Specialist
you will:Administer and coordinate DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.Provide guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions, such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC, and physical security to ensure compliance with standards.A week in the life of an
Security Specialist :Provide administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction, and disposition of classified material.May act as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects.Administer and maintain physical security procedures for visitor control, employee identification, and safeguarding of company facilities, equipment, materials, and employee property.Develop and conduct security briefings and security education programs.Provide oversight for programs for the protection of classified information as well as proprietary information.Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications. Investigate losses and security violations and recommend corrective actions.Manage the continuing eligibility program for employees. Periodically inspect the facility to ensure physical security measures.Job Requirements
High School diploma5+ years of relevant DoD/IC security related experience.Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is a must.Previous experience administering and coordinating DoD or other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States.
