$105,000- $160,000.

Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.What You’ll DoThe IT Systems Architect – Data Center will perform full performance professional information technology work planning and coordinating the installation and configuration of network and operating system hardware and software; maintaining and repairing complex problems with system hardware and software; and modifying operating system hardware and software to increase performance and meet technical design requirements with a strong emphasis on customer service both internal and external.Additional responsibilities include:Establishes and maintains network performance by building network configurations and connections; troubleshooting network problems. Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.Plans and coordinates the setup, installation, and configuration of the operating system (including hardware and software), new software releases, and upgrades.Develops, maintains, and publishes complex custom reports. Consults with users to identify new business requirements then evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.Acts as a liaison between user group and the Technologies division to communicate problems and possible solutions. Writes and maintains technical procedures, documentation, operational instructions and/or project or work order status. Reads and understands technical or other complex materials required for the job.Participates in all Operations and Maintenance rotational duties, including enterprise monitoring, incident queue manager and afterhours on-call duties approximately every 8 weeks.Practices ITIL concepts including Incident Management prioritization, documentation, escalation, resolution, etc. in accordance with DIA Technologies processes and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.What You’ll BringOur ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:Design and Implementation:

Develop and implement complex network architecture solutions using Cisco Nexus series switches. Design scalable and high-performance data center networks, ensuring optimal configuration and deployment.Network Architecture:

Architect and document end-to-end network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and data center environments. Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance network infrastructure.Performance Optimization:

Optimize network performance through advanced configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Implement quality of service (QoS) policies and network traffic management techniques.Security and Compliance:

Design and enforce network security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards. Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses.Collaboration and Leadership:

Lead cross-functional teams in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting activities. Collaborate with other IT teams, including systems, applications, and security, to ensure network solutions align with overall organizational goals.Technical Expertise:

Provide expert-level support and guidance on Cisco Nexus technologies, including but not limited to NX-OS, ACI, and SDN solutions. Stay up-to-date with Cisco certifications and networking best practices.Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures. Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders.Troubleshooting and Support:

Troubleshoot complex network issues, including hardware and software components, and provide resolution in a timely manner. Offer second and third-line support for network-related problems.Project Management:

Manage network architecture projects from conception through implementation, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.Training and Development:

Mentor and train junior network engineers and staff on Cisco Nexus technologies and best practices. Develop and deliver training materials and sessions as needed.Customer Focus:

Engage with internal and external customers to understand their network requirements and provide tailored solutions. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.Required Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.Experience: Three (3) years of professional information technology experience installing, maintaining, and/or modifying operating system and/or network operating system software and associated hardware. Two of these years must include experience in designing and implementing enterprise level systems and scalable solutions.Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
