X-Ray/ Fluoro Technologist

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, assures that services are provided to patients and referring specialists within professional standards. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company.

This position is per diem, hours/shift will vary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(85%) ImagingProduces diagnostic images in assigned areaPerforms quality control tasks as assignedPromotes and motivates good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors, and other company personnelMaintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workersMaintains accurate patient records within Radiologic Information System (RIS)Works with a Fluoroscopy C-Arm in Surgical and Outpatient procedures(10%) Department SupportParticipates in staff meetings with employee involvementAssists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manualAnswers department phone calls(5%) Performs other duties as assignedCOMPETENCIES REQUIRED: (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomyKnowledge of current technical skills and procedural understanding to perform a full range of radiologic scanning procedures and injectionsKnowledge of and adherence to ALARA principlesKnowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocolsKnowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelinesSkill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completionSkill in written and verbal communicationAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlinesAbility to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant changeAbility to effectively handle details with accuracyAbility to maintain regular attendance and on-time arrival to work as scheduledAbility to deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassionAbility to recognize potential abnormalities, adjust process and communicate with radiologist as appropriateAbility to remain calm in difficult situationsAbility to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next levelAbility to operate and adjust scanning and ancillary equipmentSUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:Required:ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standingGraduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicableCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationTraining and experience sufficient to competently perform radiographic procedures independentlyPreferred:BilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
