Behavioral Health Therapist - Crisis Services Team Lead

Sign on Bonus up to $15,000

This position is eligible for an 11% pay differential; Salary range with differential included is $6,800 - $8,200.

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

Be the Team Lead of an interdisciplinary crisis team that provides individuals opportunity for recovery management so they can live and work independently in their home and community. Position will supervise a team of approximately 9 staff.

In this

Behavioral Health Therapist Crisis Services Team Lead position , you will conduct crisis stabilization or therapeutic intervention, provide supportive therapy to mitigate crisis situations, develop safety plans for individuals at risk, and assist individuals in obtaining appropriate services, either within or outside the agency. You will also coordinate social detox/crisis placements and admissions to the North Dakota State Hospital. This position also provides support to the other regions as needed via telehealth platforms.

To be considered for this position,

you are required to have a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or areas approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners and ND licensure as a LCSW or LPCC, OR a Doctorate in Psychology and ND licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.

If unable to find fully licensed candidates, will consider filling this position as a

Behavioral Health Counselor , which requires a master's degree in Social Work and licensure as a LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners; OR a master's degree in Counseling and licensure as a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) by the ND Board of Counselor Examiners. Will also consider those with a master's degree in Counseling and licensure as a LAPC, if the applicant is far enough along with the process to obtain their LPCC within two years from the date of hire. Information outlining where you are in the licensure process and the number of training hours already obtained must be submitted with the application form.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
