Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel – Certified Surgical First Assistant
Shift: Variable D/E / 7a-5p or 11a-9p, 10×4, 40 hrs per week, Call required, nights, weekends holidays as needed.Length: 13 weeks. Weekend REQ: As needed per on call requirements.Is on-call REQ? Yes; Call, off-shifts and holidays are scheduled as needed on the unit for all staff.
Requirements:
2 years experienceInpatient, outpatient and trauma work setting experience requiredBLS, CSFANBSTSA and NCCSACSTFA preferred
Other Details:First-timers accepted: YesWill clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? YesSpecial Requirements/Skills: scrub, first assist, aseptic technique, bariatrics, plastics, abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, robotic assisted gynecological procedures, vaginal hysterectomy.CSFA will assist in skin closure, subcutaneous closure and ties, facia closure and ties, closure and ties of peritoneum, tying deep vessels, incising tissue and performs hemostatic techniques; assists with procedural set up and patient preparedness for specific procedures in positioning, prepping and draping, and participates in patient transport and room turnover.Must be registered.Must complete an accredited surgical technology education program and/or have worked as a surg tech prior to 07/01/2012.COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not RequiredFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – No Exemptions
