to join the Ultrasound team in Alaska's "Golden Heart City". Fairbanks, Alaska is located in the interior of the state where you can find adventure, culture, solitude, or scenery. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Adheres to safety policies.Accountable for the ethical, legal, professional, and certification responsibilities related to the practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.Qualifications:Requires national certification in the area of specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International. For new graduates, certification must be completed within 12 months of hire. BLS certification required. This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1-2 years of experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems. Foundation Health Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as an Ultrasound Technologist in the specialty area is preferred.Preferred Qualifications:
