LHH is seeking a Plant Controller for a manufacturer in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance within a manufacturing setting. This role is critical in overseeing the financial health of our plant operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.Research technical accounting issues for compliance.Support month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Additional controller duties as necessary.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).Experience with creating and analyzing financial statements.Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.Accuracy and attention to detail.Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.Benefits:
