Cybersecurity Engineer

to support one of our clients in Bridgeton, MO.This position requires a

Secret security clearance

or the ability to obtain secret clearance if needed.Overview:Chameleon is looking for a full-time Cybersecurity Engineer with experience working with isolated and/or partially connected networks and equipment. The candidate will join a team of security and non-security engineers in developing exciting new products and supporting existing products.Skills & Abilities:Be able to explain to other stakeholders various industry and federal standards, policies, and best practices and how they apply to existing and new products, services, and networksHave working knowledge of DoD and NIST information assurance regulations and documentationHave experience creating and documenting security policies, procedures, and plans, including RMF and NIST 800-53Have experience planning and executing security assessments and vulnerability scansExperience automating assessments, vulnerability scans, and security tools and procedures into product development lifecycleHands-on experience implementing and maintaining secure network environments, including work with network equipment, server, and client computing devices from a variety of manufacturersResponsibilities:Conduct cybersecurity engineering by generating recommendations, designing, implementing, and transitioning solutions to improve cybersecurity posturePlan and execute vulnerability and compliance assessments, utilize ACAS or similar scanners and SCAP assessment toolsRemediate security findings across systems and networksSupport various stakeholders in implementing security standards and best practices, create robust technical solutions across multiple technology areasTake a leading role in guiding stakeholders through implementing and adhering to Risk Management FrameworkPerform risk analysis on products and services throughout various phases of their design and implementationProvide security support to all environments, provide anti-virus solutions, execute STIG checklistsReview and maintain cybersecurity policies and participate in certification and accreditation activitiesMaintain system status informationExecute the development of required cybersecurity program documentation employing the federal Risk Management Framework (RMF)Certs Required:Bachelors of Science degreeCISSP certification or industry equivalent5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity and information assuranceThe Location:Bridgeton, MO“We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status”
