Koch Industries is seeking a Tax Manager - SALT to join our dynamic team. The tax team at Koch Industries takes greater ownership in their roles through an enhanced knowledge that comes from in-depth interaction with the businesses they support. Here, you can participate in tax reporting, tax position management, planning and business consulting for domestic operations. By working directly with business leaders to understand the purpose and intricacies of company transactions and procedures, each team member is better equipped to apply the appropriate standards in the most efficient way possible, demonstrate your ability to be inquisitive and explore data to improve processes and pursue career advancement across a wide range of opportunities.This role can be based out of our Atlanta, GA; Wichita, KS; or Dallas, TX office. Apply to learn more about our locations and flexible work environment.What You Will DoLead the overall state tax reporting process, including estimated/extension payments, income/franchise tax work papers and return review, amended returns, RARs, etc.Coordinate with our external partners to complete the state tax return preparation process.Build and develop relationships across the tax organization and other Koch companies to understand and optimize the various state processes and business tax positions.Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements and share ideas for transformation that could drive value within the tax organization.Analyze tax liability drivers and variations from previous years and assist in preparing for discussions with federal tax teams and tax directors.Ensure tax reporting accurately reflects business reorganizations, asset sales, tax positions, and generation/utilization of state tax attributes.Basic QualificationsProgressive career experience in corporate or international income taxation, tax accounting, financial reporting, or accounting related roles.Experience leading a high-volume compliance process with multiple stakeholders.Experience managing large volumes of data from multiple systems and using advanced tools to perform analysis and develop a point of view.What Will Put You AheadBachelor's degree or higher.Experience presenting financial concepts to various audiences to effectively engage stakeholders and partnering with others to bridge gaps and solve problems.Experience with both corporate and partnership state income tax.Experience prioritizing multiple projects, communicating results, and driving initiatives forward.Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, or other data automation platforms.The Koch tax team is comprised of professionals with knowledge in a wide range of corporate tax areas including domestic, international, state, transfer pricing and M&A to name a few.
