Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer located in Kettering, Ohio to support our EPASS GB contract. The successful candidate will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of software engineering, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:Preparing/creating, reviewing, and analyzing all types of documentation for Planning, Requirements, Design, Coding, Support, and Testing.Reviewing source code, configuration files, and providing engineering resolution support.Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.Demonstrating solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments.Determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming/coding solutions.Improving operations by conducting systems and process analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.Advising on software procurements by researching, analyzing, comparing, and documenting results of vendors and products.Providing information and recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service-related issues.Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Developing software solutions by studying requirements/user stories and user/system/data needs.
