As our fund grows, we are expanding our risk & analytics technology team to align with HOOPP’s investment mandates. The Investment Solutions Group – Dimension (SimCorp Dimension) team is looking for a Senior Systems Developer to help us build, support, and manage our Book of Record applications.
What you will do:
Write high-quality, high-performance query, views, and Stored Procedure
Develop and maintain critical SSRS reports run on top of Dimension data.
Configure and monitor batch process in SimCorp Dimension and scheduler (UC4)
Automate data ingestion and extraction from and into Dimension by developing scripts using PowerShell.
Develop generic backend data processing workflows and components to be used with SimCorp Dimension
Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and support the community of developers.
Work closely with multiple users to build tailor fit solutions.
Actively participate in Agile Scrum practices such as daily standups, backlog refinement, planning and sprint retrospectives
Contribute during design and planning meetings, write wiki articles, and participate in issue and team retrospectives.
Ask powerful questions, create awareness, and guide individuals and groups in exploring options and deciding what to do.
Help us deliver new features and participate in issue resolutions.
Resolve complex production issues spanning multiple systems and technologies.
What you will bring:
8+ years of experience of extensive programming and development using:
RDMS databases (MySQL, Oracle)
Report development using SQL Server Reporting service.
Scripting (PowerShell)
Unix programming and scripting (Perl, Bash, Shell)
Python
Strong fundamentals on:
System integrations e.g., SFTP, HTTPS, etc.
ETL
Schedulers e.g., UC4
Event based design – workflows, error handling, triggers, notification, logging.
Design and develop cloud native solutions.
Source code management
CI/CD
Ability to work effectively in an agile-based team environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to take end-to-end ownership.
Ability to design and develop using Cloud based services.
Able to understand and adhere to IT governance standards and controls.
Able to design and complete complex software enhancements proficiently with a high level of quality.
5+ experience in capital markets and financial industry, exposure to Book of Records solutions
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Nice to haves:
SAP HANA and DS Jobs
Snowflake.
AWS services like S3, ec2, Param store etc.
Experience with Book of Records e.g., SimCorp Dimension.
.NET framework (C#, VB .Net)
