Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Systems Software Analyst – System Integration Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System, enabling the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. The Field and Integration Test team is responsible for integrating the C2BMC system into the MDIOC C2BMC Test Facility and the Operational environment.

Essential Functions:

Planned, implemented, tested, documented, and maintained solutions for integrating and testing in-house developed COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems.

Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.

Review, evaluate, and derive requirements for testability, develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems.

Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations.

Perform test results analysis and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system-level evaluation reports that verify and validate system performance.

Write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems.

Windows and Linux skills in system administration and/or integration.

Experience in troubleshooting small to large-scale infrastructure.

Ability to develop integration plans/procedures from functional/performance requirements and monitor integration of test resources.

Basic Qualifications:

Current active Secret clearance required.

9 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or a related field; or 7 years with a Master’s degree, or 13 years experience in lieu of a degree.

Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.

Self-starter with good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of or practical experience with DoD test methodologies and previous test and integration skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.

Active IAT – Level 2 required (60 days after start date may be considered).

Network architecture and device knowledge are desired.

Scripting skills for data mining and formatted display of data are desired.

Experience within the Mission Defense realm and previous test and integration is desired.

Experience with operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot) is a plus.

Salary Range:

$121,000 - $181,400
