About the role:

As a highly skilled and experienced Business Integrations Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading day to day software engineering within TQL’s Business Integrations department. You will help to mature our team by providing technical expertise on developing integration systems. You will insist on high standards for everything we deliver, coach and mentor team members, and ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in system integrations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a track record of successfully delivering complex integration solutions. What you’ll be doing:

Provide the team with technical expertise and guidance using industry best practices and standards, ensuring the successful delivery of integration projects.

Lead the implementation and deployment of integration solutions ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

Oversee technical design of integration flows including API and file-based integrations, backend services, and non-functional requirements.

Ensure high quality of technical solutions by conducting code reviews, promoting thorough unit testing early and often, automated integration testing, code coverage as part of design, and overseeing production releases.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integration processes and systems.

Participate in weekly support rotation resolving incidents/problems as needed.

Oversee CI/CD including deployment pipeline maintenance.

Partner with Product to provide technical guidance on product backlog prioritization.

Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the integrations space, and recommend improvements to processes and systems.

Prepare and manage technical documentation.

Deliver self-service resources including integration patterns and reusable code.

Deliver with a strong sense of urgency, and willingness to commit extra effort to meet deadlines.

Hold team members accountable for excellence, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science and 7+ years of experience in software engineering, or 10+ years of experience in software engineering.

5+ years of experience leading an integration engineering team.

7+ years of experience in SQL Server, .NET framework and .NET 6, C# programming language, web services, JavaScript frameworks, JSON, XML, and REST technologies.

5+ years of experience working with a business integration platform (e.g. Boomi, MuleSoft Anypoint, Informatica B2B, etc.).

5+ years of experience integrating with third-party APIs, data transformation and mapping, developing integrations for both on-prem AND cloud-based systems, event brokers, and configuration of adapters such as JMS, SFTP, SOAP, IDOC, Proxy, FTPS, web services, and iFlows.

5+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (e.g. ADO, Jenkins).

Understanding of EDI Documents and X12 EDI Standards.

Experience with API Security, API Governance, API Management and API development life cycle (Azure API Management or others).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed to collaborate closely with team members and leadership.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work in both a team-based setting and independently.

Demonstrated ability to concisely communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.

Additional recommended experience:

Experience within the logistics industry.

Experience with Boomi integration development.

Experience with EDI Integrations.

Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies.
