Within AWS, the Infrastructure Security – Compliance, Vulnerability Management and Supply Chain Security (Infra Compliance) organization is comprised of multiple teams responsible for regulatory compliance response, vulnerability management, and security operations across the global AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain.The AWS Infra Compliance team is seeking a Software Development Manager (SDM) to lead our security measurement and reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and growth of our Program. Your direct reports will consist of Software Development Engineers focused on building new service and automation capabilities. Through servant leadership of your team, partnerships with other Infrastructure Leaders, and constant customer obsession, you will work to raise the bar and elevate Infra Compliance software capabilities by developing innovative solutions to complicated problems.AWS leads and innovates. We don’t just buy off-the-shelf software or follow others. We research and pursue the best approach for the business, whether that’s building new solutions or leveraging existing ones. AWS, and Infrastructure Security in particular, operate at massive scale and as a result, demand the highest standards, passion, and discipline for information security and software engineering. A high level of ownership and accountability is a must for this role.A minimum of x3/weekly onsite in office time is required for this role.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of engineering team management experience7+ years of engineering experienceExperience partnering with product or program management teamsKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsExperience in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in betweenPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategyExperience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective, product software engineersMaster’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or equivalent work experienceDevelopment experience with multiple modern programming languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, C++, C#, etc.)A strong understanding of networking technologies and infrastructureExperience with Machine Learning (ML) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver software outcomesExperience with the AWS suite of tools and servicesA demonstrated history of delivery for large, cross-functional projectsExcellent communication that allows you to clearly, compellingly, and effectively influence audiences internally and externally, across organizational boundariesAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market.
