Job Summary:Our client is seeking a Software QA Engineer to join the Ride Command team. This role involves building high-quality products and contributing to world-class connected rider solutions. The position offers the opportunity to work as both a QA Engineer and a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer, impacting cellular connectivity, infotainment, and cloud development projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Collaborate with the GEECS V&Q Test Automation Lead to develop future QA HIL test systemsMaintain and update QA HIL test systems to align with the validation team's needsDevelop robust test cases to ensure full system functionality and compliance with program requirementsOrganize testing efforts to meet product delivery timelinesFocus on delivering a product centered around a great customer experienceAnalyze system performance to identify bottlenecksParticipate actively in enhancing a mature agile environmentDocument issues thoroughly, assign severity, and drive resolutionExecute both manual and automated test scripts to verify infotainment component requirementsConfigure test benches for specific scenariosTest software on stationary and moving vehicles, including performance evaluationMultitask and switch between platforms as neededCharacterize and document defects, including steps to reproduce and test logsDevelop and update test cases as requiredInteract with multiple engineering disciplines to support defect resolution

Skills & Knowledge:B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering preferred)0-5 years' experience in embedded software or HMI validation rolesExperience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN/J1939/UDS preferred)Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with real-time test systems (e.g., dSPACE, Vector, NI, ETAS) highly desiredAbility to troubleshoot test and electrical systems using scopes and multimetersExperience with object-oriented programming languages (Python preferred)Experience with software version control systems (Git preferred)Experience with Jenkins, JIRA, and TestRail preferred

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:Proven experience testing complex, integrated systems with cloud connectivityExperience with Bluetooth sniffer tools and protocol analyzersExposure to CAN toolsTesting experience on automotive infotainment or embedded systemsMobile application testingBluetooth Classic connectivity testingUser Interface (UI) testing experienceUser Acceptance Testing (UAT) experienceExperience designing and building wire harnessesExperience with tools such as Eggplant, Vector CANoe, ASAM XIL, MATLAB/Simulink, FMI is a bonus

Preferred Background:Experience in the Auto Industry/Engineering is a plus
