Grants Analyst

Under direct supervision of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager, and in collaboration with project managers and other team members, the Grants Analyst supports implementation and monitoring of grants, progress reporting, and completing the project closeout. The incumbent identifies, monitors, analyses and reconciles variances, as well as monitors project expenses and cashflows for multiple grants. Success in this role requires building and applying analytical skills and effective coordination with other team members and stakeholders across various organizations.Responsibilities

Prepare and submit grant applications through various platforms, prepare monthly expenditure schedules for drawdown, claim reimbursement, book bank transfers, and prepare fund requests.Research documentation as needed to properly and accurately prepare reports required by funding partners. Coordinate with other departments to gather required information and maintain the accuracy of invoicing, account information, multiple grant balances, and project data. Provide information as needed for project closeout. Coordinate with funding partners to ensure consistency in compliance reporting requirements. Answer questions or concerns from SunLine staff and stakeholders regarding grants.Monitor project program reports and provide accurate reporting information to include project budgets, expenses, and cashflows to funding agencies consistent with compliance reporting requirements.Participate in intradepartmental auditing processes and prepare reports on findings for direct supervisor. Identify issues and escalate as needed to upper management.Assist with a variety of financial and operational audits providing technical assistance and documentation as backup support.Perform other related functions, tasks, and duties as assigned or requested.Other Duties

Research and identify grant opportunities that align with SunLine’s project needs and goals.Assist in annual activities, including but not limited to: Archive storage, annual financial audit, and various SunLine and community charity events.Clearly articulate specific and relevant information about his or her job as well as the work in general.Minimum Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, engineering, or a related field desired. Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in public administration, transportation planning, accounting, grants management and/or administration, contract administration, project accounting, or related work experience, or combination of education, training, and/or proven experience in an analytical role with a financial focus.Disclaimer:
