We provide Subject Matter Experts (SME) free of Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) focused on independent analysis and mission support services within the disciplines of Engineering, Counter Terrorism Operations, Management, Information Technology, Signals Analysis, Administration, Cyber Security, and Linguistics.
FTS has an opportunity for an RF Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
Provide expertise in space application of RF signals and technologies.
Provide expertise in satellite systems used for signals intelligence collection.
Perform on-orbit test planning, execution, and data distribution; collaborate with development contractors to plan and execute spacecraft testing.
Participate in working groups and forums required for marketing test opportunities for RF systems to external stakeholders.
Facilitate necessary program office requirements and inputs into enterprise change control boards and other processes required to integrate mission operations.
Outline criteria for successful test results.
Work independently and communicate regularly with program office customers.
Required:
TS/SCI with polygraph.
BS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with spacecraft systems engineering, payload design, space hardware, manufacture, and test.
Basic understanding of DOD/IC satellite systems and architectures.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment.
Experience in DOD/IC acquisition and program management processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated sustained superior performance.
Available to travel domestically (25%).
Desired:
