Job Description | Director of Kids’ and Youth Ministries
Job Summary: The Director of Kids’ and Youth Ministries is primarily responsible to lead, develop, and give strategic oversight to the ministries serving our Kids and Youth. This role aims to cultivate the next generation and engage families through age appropriate, Jesus-centered worship and programming. The goal is to provide a comprehensive, challenging program of ministry for kids and youth while also equipping and empowering parents as the primary spiritual influence in their children’s spiritual development. Additionally, this position will train and develop staff, volunteers, and teachers to accomplish the goal above.

Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry or Education; preferred or High School Diploma with additional education focused on ministry or education.
Teaching experience; preferred
1-3+ years of working with children in an organizational setting
Must pass a background check
Availability to attend after hours children’s events and activities
Duties & Responsibilities:
Create and implement an overarching Kids’ and Youth Ministries vision that aligns with the Discipleship Pathway
Oversee, develop, and lead the ministry staff. This includes but is not limited to training, professional development, general management, and performance issues
Create, oversee, and execute plans and budgets to accomplish the Kids’ and Youth Ministries vision
Recruit, train, lead, coordinate, and care for the Kids’ and Youth Ministries teachers and volunteers
Plan and execute Kids’ and Youth Ministries programs, services, and events
Ensure preparedness of kids transitioning from Kids’ Ministries to Youth Ministry
Communicate ministry needs with parents, the church, and leadership
Develop, implement, & maintain a system to address family care needs
Equip and counsel parents to train their child to imitate Jesus
Prepare classes as necessary; teaching
Procure or develop curriculum and instructional resources that can be integrated into the overarching Discipleship Pathway
Assist in developing fun, inviting, and functional Kids and Youth areas
Nurture and maintain relationships and rapport with parents
Attend Kids and Youth events & activities outside of church
Other responsibilities as assigned

Sun. 8am-12:30pm, 5pm-8:30pm; Wed. 5pm-8:30pm (flexible hours according to needs of the church)
