In this impactful role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care and support to a diverse patient population, making a meaningful difference in their lives. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager and in collaboration with our wonderful team of medical providers, nurses, and other health care professionals, you will play a crucial role in delivering care to patients at Ward 86 and affiliated clinical programs. Collaborating closely with clinical team members, you will actively contribute to the care of individuals living with HIV, people experiencing homelessness, people who use substances, and individuals with high psychosocial complexity.

As a Hospital Assistant, you will optimize clinic flow and contribute to creating a patient-centered environment that addresses the unique needs of our diverse patient population. Your responsibilities will encompass both clinical and clerical duties, ensuring optimal care outcomes and supporting various functions across clinical programs. Working within a public health setting, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals from different backgrounds, providing them with inclusive and comprehensive care. Your role on the care team will be instrumental, encompassing a range of tasks such as conducting patient vitalization, blood and specimen collection and processing, performing health screenings, obtaining patient demographic information, assisting with patient flow, maintaining exam rooms, checking equipment for proper functioning, administering vaccinations, conducting inventory checks, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you may be involved in transporting patients and specimens between different areas on the ZSFG Campus.
