For nearly 50 years, we have provided a complete array of inpatient and outpatient services to help you reach your optimal function and independence.Inpatient RehabilitationPatients who require an inpatient (hospital-level) stay are cared for by a team of diverse specialists, all under one roof. We are attached to JFK University Medical Center for access to emergency care, neurology, pulmonology, cardiology and other services, if needed. Our experienced social work staff help ensure a safe discharge home or other community setting that would allow you to seamlessly continue your recovery.Outpatient RehabilitationOur outpatient team provides one-on-one patient sessions focused on improving your function and giving you the tools you need to progress at home. We conduct evaluations and provide treatment for a variety of conditions and impairments, while also helping patients who were recently discharged from our inpatient program.Responsibilities

includes:Collaborates with Senior Management in the development of a budget for the organization. Prepares departmental budgets and allocate funds. Plans budget with Department Managers. Ensures budgets are provided in an efficacious manner. Ensures effective utilization of hospital facilities, equipment and supplies. Monitors expenses and takes appropriate follow-up actions as indicated. I.e., reallocation of resources. Ensures appropriate number of qualified and competent staff to meet the organizational needs. Assist in staffing strategies. Interviews and hires managers. Ensures appropriate levels are maintained for the safe, effective, efficient care to the patient population. Ensures staff are competent. Monitor turnover rate, staff feedback, and information from exit interviews. Serves as a consultant to subordinates in daily and long range planning for staffing.Ensures patients with the same nursing care needs receive comparable levels of care throughout the organization. Assist with the development of Standards of Nursing Care, Standards of Nursing Practice and the practice guidelines to implement those standards. Assures that Nursing Care is consistent with patient needs as determined by the Nursing Process. Ensures that Nursing Care is consistent with the diagnostic and therapeutic medical plan of care. Evaluates Nursing Care by accepted professional, ethical, standards of Nursing Care and Practice, and current legal guidelines. Participates with other organizational members to provide mechanisms for the effective accomplishment of patient centered discharge planning and education. Accounts for attainment of patient, employee, visitor, and volunteer safety standards.Performance Improvement: Participates with Senior Management in setting priorities for Performance Improvement. Promotes and supports the Continuous Quality Improvement Culture by format for management problem solving, identify specific requirements of customer. Establish performance goals based on customer requirements and benchmarks. Promotes interdisciplinary/interdepartmental teamwork. Evaluates effectiveness of Performance Improvement initiatives. Oversee Performance Improvement implementation at the business unit level.Provide effective and efficient leadership to the areas of responsibility and participates in the organization's strategic and operational processes. Participates with Senior Management in planning, directing implementing, coordinating and improving services. Participates in meetings as assigned. Consults with, advise and assist, the Management Team in Operations. Effectively & appropriately delegate responsibility to subordinates. Participates in the Administrator of the Day programs as assigned.Planning Processes in response to organizational needs and is consistent with the organization's mission. Integrating services into the organizations primary functions as outlined in the strategic plan. Assist with the development of the organizations strategic plan. Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. Reviews and revises policies and procedures as identified. Responds to Operational Emergencies as required.Other duties and/or projects as assigned.Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Graduate of approved School of Nursing.
