This role is responsible for leading the “Global Play Leader” (GPL) Brand, Global and Regional Marketing facing demand planning activities inclusive of Wave Planning, Assortments and Life Cycle Management impacts. For example, this role will determine the strategy for improving the demand forecast based on New Product Introductions (NPI) and End-of-Life processes. The primary objective of this role is to improve the outcomes of customer satisfaction and brand reputation, ultimately driving sales and revenue growth through improved material forecasting, ensuring supply chain management and inventory control are optimized for the production line aggregated by global category.

Location: The position is based in the Pawtucket, RI office.

Remote work may be considered for candidates on the East Coast Only.

A day In The Life as a Global Category Planning Director:

Improve forecasting, forecasting metrics and the efficiency of the forecast methodology through strong organizational coordination, automation, reliable data, and an analytics-based process at the global category level.

Deliver value at the global category level to the baseline forecast by coaching and establishing process & trainings for GPL/category-owners to provide insight for forecast value add (FVA) across regions with the demand planning application.

Ensure GPL/category owners follow standardized processes to accurately make inputs and adjustments in a timely manner for activities that will impact demand integrated with the demand planning application at a recurring set cadence.

Ensure a collaborative process of synthesizing input from a variety of category impacts, business units, and regions relying on data-driven processes using predictive analytics to reduce the impact of subjectivity.

Optimum analytics & insights frameworks to underpin Demand management processes partnering with both BI teams & Analytics, Insights, and Measurements team (AIM).

Support the monthly Global Demand Management Review (DMR), roll up from regional to drive unconstrained consensus forecast in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle and downstream supply planning and execution processes.

Work in close relationship with the Global IBP Owner utilizing S&OP tools to bring guidelines/targets to the commercial demand planning function globally.

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s Degree (required). Preferred fields include Supply Chain Operations/Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management or related discipline.

10-15 years of experience in areas of sales planning, demand planning, commercial and/or supply chain experience.

Demonstrate ability to effectively integrate data analyses with other forms of demand insight to calibrate demand planning tools or outputs from a commercial/sales perspective.

Identify system capability improvement opportunities particularly with promotions and events and work with system team to implement changes.

Leverage understanding of forecasting leading practices (i.e., tools, concepts) to improve adoption of standardized processes and increase forecast accuracy via forecast value-add across regions.

Apply expertise of demand planning and Sales forecasting efforts to effectively participate in the S&OE and IBP processes.

Experience with sales forecasting, demand modeling, demand shaping, and allocation.

Collaborate with key stakeholders during demand consensus and identify solutions to close gaps.

Demonstrate ability to effectively integrate data analyses with other forms of demand insight to calibrate demand planning tools or outputs.

Leverage planning systems to drive business insights and identify system capability improvement opportunities.

Successful track record of developing reliable forecasts that incorporate event lift, pricing elasticity, new product launches, retailer insights, and competitive activities.

Demonstrated collaboration with and influencing across functions, including Commercial Sales, Brand/Marketing, Category Management, Finance and Supply Chain.

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

Starting Pay Range: $133,600

Pay Range End: $210,000
