Job DescriptionDanfoss Drives is currently hiring for our next Sales Application Engineer. North America is one of Danfoss Drives' "High Growth Regions". We are THE leading manufacturer of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) with more than 30m Drives manufactured globally. We are seeking an experienced Sales Application Engineer with skills to develop business and grow our core Industrial verticals, such as Food and Beverage, Chemical Oil and Gas, and Heavy Industry.

The Sales Application Engineer will enable regional sales growth by developing Danfoss specific solutions directly with customers and channel partners. The SAE will collaborate with our Sales Development & Channels teams in growing the business by bringing specialty applications and product knowledge to partners and customers. This role is supported by a strong Service Organization, Product Management, and Development teams.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Drive demand by understanding customers' needs and influencing designs.
Assist Sales Development and Channel Sales to review RFQs, RFIs.
Front line business development, fueling growth at primarily new large and strategic important Industrial customers.
Plan and execute activities around Industry specific value propositions.
Ensure bi-directional information flow between Sales and Product Management.
Support the launch of new products & features.
Develop and deliver solutions to customers with Product Management and Development teams.
Build and share industry/application knowledge within the organization.
Collaborate with regional & global team of application engineers.
Demonstrate select vertical expertise to build trust and confidence.
Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements.
Analyze customer specifications to propose suitable solutions.
Support Center of Excellence and Business Incubator programs.
Background & SkillsThe ideal candidate possesses these skills:
BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
Proven track record in a product, application, project or service specialist role.
Background or understanding of the selected verticals.
Skilled in presenting to audiences.
Extensive field experience.
Self-motivated, customer-centric, solution and result-oriented.
Able to communicate & collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Customer and growth-oriented mindset.
Ability to travel up to 70% in assigned territory.
