Aston Carter - Accounting Specialist - Hartford, Connecticut

Main responsibilities will be biweekly payroll alongside six team members, managing payroll for approximately 250 employees. The Temp will assist with year-end reporting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and budget analysis/reporting. Under guidance, the role prepares budget/actual reporting to state agencies, prepares financial schedules to support year-end audit requirements, and assembles documentation for audits.Hard Skills

3-5 years of budget experience including reportingExperience utilizing general ledger software and reporting packagesFamiliar with general ledger chart of accounts and cost centers/project codesProficient in Excel including VLOOKUPsMid-level accounting experiencePayroll experience (3+ years)Accounting experience (3+ years)Experience with ERP - MIP is a plusNon-profit experience is a plusState reporting experience (DCF & DMHAS) is a plusSoft Skills

This is a contract position with a duration of 90 days.Work Site
