This individual will serve as lead team member in support of the Company's inventory and material accounting and will interact and collaborate with various sectors, divisions, and technical staff to solve complex inventory/material issues and questions.This position is not location specific but must be within commuting distance to one of these main campuses: El Segundo, CA / Palmdale, CA / Melbourne, FL/San Diego, CA. level security clearance as a condition of continued employment.This position will serve as a lead Material Accountant with respect to:Providing direction, guidance, and coaching to team members.Advising business partners on complex inventory/material cost issues and questions.Serving as material accounting process and systems expert.Leading discussions with auditors, including fulfilling requests.Representing material accounting on various other projects and initiatives.Additionally, this position will:Drive continued success by leading efforts for creating efficiencies, process improvement, and/or automation of processes, in support of the Company's digital transformation initiatives.Compile, present, review, and analyze financial and material/inventory information in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Material Management & Accounting Systems (MMAS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and company policies and disclosure statements.Prepare and present various analyses, which could include material cost and inventory accuracy, price variance, cost allocations, excess material, goods receipt/invoice receipt variances (GR/IR), and grouping/pegging/distribution results.Perform Material Master data maintenance, such as: Valuation Class, Material Group, and Material Type updates.Prepare and/or Review documentation to post journal entries for various material accounting transactions.Perform and/or Review monthly general ledger account reconciliations for material accounts using Blackline.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, business, inventory management, supply chain or related field and 10 years related experience OR 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree.Demonstrated understanding of General Ledger and Financial Statement impacts from material/inventory related transactions.Experience with SAP Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution (GPD) or reporting with SAP Business Intelligence/Analytics.Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DOD

level security clearance as a condition of continued employment.Preferred Qualifications:Current DOD Secret Level Clearance.Professional experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry.Professional experience with Government Contracting.Experience with data analytics and dashboarding.Demonstrated experience with process and system capabilities within manufacturing (i.e.: Cost Accounting, MRP, Inventory, Production).Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences.Strong ambition with the intent to work quickly and effectively and can get up to speed with business processes quickly; enjoys a dynamic environment.Salary Range:

$90,900 - $136,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
