Test Lab Engineer

to join the team.This role independently takes responsibility for all technical activities and mentoring test technicians. It involves being available to laboratory staff, internal customers (engineering, quality assurance, and sales personnel), as well as external customers. Responsibilities include providing regular performance feedback, developing test technicians’ skills, encouraging professional growth, soliciting and applying customer feedback, and fostering a quality focus in others.Duties & Responsibilities

Maintains and institutes the necessary steps to ensure the highest level of testing confidence.Supports oversight of technical activities, acceptance of new work, and day-to-day operations of the laboratory.Assists in the design, drawing, procurement, component integration, installation, and debugging of test equipment, fixtures, and setups. Assists in all aspects of technician training and oversees the build of test fixtures and systems as required to meet applicable test specifications and customer requirements.Assists in the analysis of test equipment and installation to support testing.Provides technical support including but not limited to the following: test capabilities, failure analysis related to testing, quality control, etc.Schedules and plans sequence of testing, equipment, and all levels of supporting documentation.Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.Supports part and/or test conformity with customer and regulatory representatives.Assists with preventative maintenance, component repair/replacement, and component inventory.Assembles and validates test equipment and instrumentation.Develops formulas to solve problems in measurements and uncertainties.Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.Consistently, regularly, and dependably at work and on time.The Individual

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & RegistrationsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5-7 years experience, or a combination of experience and education.Salary & Benefits
