About the Role:The Accounts Payable Supervisor is an integral part of Latham’s Accounts Payable team and will be responsible for providing guidance and support to practice office accounts payable functions, while directly supervising members of the Accounts Payable team, including their schedules and work activities. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities:
Assigning and supervising the day-to-day activity related to accounts payable transactions
Providing support to Practice Office Accounting Managers, Supervisors, and accounting staff to ensure high-level accounting support and customer service are provided to the firm
Assisting the department and firm by completing responsibilities pertaining to firmwide accounts payable systems
Generating performance evaluations and recommends salary increases, working with Human Capital & Talent to recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage the performance of employees
Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Qualifications:We’d love to hear from you if you:
Demonstrate well-developed, professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
Exhibit the ability to mentor and assist with junior members of the team
Possess the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
And have:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field; a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant accounts experience in areas involving A/P processes and practices
A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience
