Registered Nurse - Outpatient Oncology Infusion ClinicJoin the transformative team at

Your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive nursing care to the patients while assisting them through their treatment journey, offering emotional support and education. The nurses at City of Hope play a vital role in improving the quality of life for cancer patients by providing expert care, support, and education throughout their cancer journey, while fostering excellence in patient care and adherence to City of Hope's high-quality standards. This position is ideal for someone with 1 year of experience working with oncology patients who are looking to transition to the outpatient setting.As a successful candidate, you will:Assess patients' health statusDevelop and implement care plansAdminister chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring patients' vital signs and symptomsProvide education and support to patients and their families and coordinate care and follow-up appointments. Help with managing side effects and complications from their cancer treatment. Involved in quality improvement initiatives and patient education programs specific to cancer care.Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.QualificationsYour qualifications should include:Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing is highly preferred.0-3 years of experience as a Registered NurseMust have a currently valid California Registered Nurse license.Current BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationMust have a current and valid ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification.Two (2) years of experience in a physician's office or hospital.One (1) year oncology and chemotherapy administration experience.Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
