Software Development Engineer, Post-Quantum Cryptography

Job ID: 2740573 | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc.The AWS Post-Quantum Cryptography team is seeking an experienced software development engineer knowledgeable in cryptography, algorithmic optimizations, and software development lifecycle to help design and implement next-generation cryptographic libraries for use by AWS and our customers. The PQC team performs fundamental research and development of quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms. You should be someone motivated by optimizing cryptographic schemes and want to help build massively scalable security systems.

Key job responsibilitiesIn this role, you will:

Design and implement post-quantum cryptography for both internal and external customers.Create simple APIs to access our cryptographic algorithms.Work with a team of talented Software Development Engineers and Applied Scientists.Be a committed technical leader who develops and mentors junior engineers.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent- Knowledge of and/or experience developing post-quantum cryptographic algorithms- Experience implementing cryptographic standards- Experience developing assembly-level optimizations- Experience developing for software libraries- Experience developing open-source softwareAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
