Position Overview

The Project Manager- Enterprise Data Platform will work closely with all technical development teams and data architects to plan and execute the build of a foundational data stack and architecture to support the various data and analytics needs of the enterprise. The PM- Enterprise Data Platform will play a key role in capability development and implementation of the overall data strategy and supporting enablement platforms. This role will facilitate strategic, big-picture design thinking and will be responsible to drive the selection, development and implementation of frameworks, tools, and platforms to address the various data related needs across the enterprise for end-to-end data enablement. A thought leader and champion for data strategy with the ability to drive alignment and find synergies across various product teams to realize the vision of a data centric architecture.

What You'll Do

Identify and implement data strategy solutions and enablement platforms in areas such as data catalog, data governance, data engineering, and data integration.

Plan, assign, and coordinate activities pertaining to data technology projects, on an enterprise level with multiple releases and work streams.

Create project plans based on approved requirements and manage project schedules, budgets, track milestones, identify risks to the deliverables and come up with contingency plans.

Establish standards and procedures for project tracking, reporting and documentation.

Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration on the project goals, scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, and resources.

Serve as a liaison between Technology Product teams, Security team, and Infrastructure delivery teams.

Define data platform quality measures and evaluate performance against standards such as data quality, security, privacy, and compliance to identify issues, risks and possible paths of resolution or mitigation strategies.

Partner with the data architects and product teams to establish measures to chart progress related to completeness and quality of data and elimination of unnecessary movement of data.

Monitor and evaluate trends in technology related to data governance, data integration and tools to redefine processes, make recommendations, and improve data governance framework.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the data platform initiatives and the data platform team.

Who You Are

Knowledge of underlying Ecomm conversion funnels, workflows, and processes.

Proven experience as a certified Scrum Master, adept at efficiently handling the backlog for multiple development teams for at least 3 years.

Experience managing external vendors and consultants.

Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and write about technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to manage ambiguity and clarify for self and others.

Experience in managing large-scale and complex data projects that involve multiple teams and stakeholders.

Experience working with cloud environments, ideally Azure.

Experience working with Agile development teams.

Familiarity with designing, implementing, and maintaining analytics solutions, data warehouse architecture, data lake etc.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage cross-product development teams and stakeholders across the business and technology groups.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field with 15+ years’ related work experience.

Project management experience in data and/or technology domains.

At least 10 years of experience with data platforms, data architecture, data related technologies and methodologies.

PMI-PMP or Agile/Scrum certification is preferred.

Salary Range

$130,000-150,000 annually

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
