Job DescriptionENSCO, Inc., is seeking a seasoned Lead Software Engineer versed in software development standards, processes, and methodologies. The individual must work independently on tasks but collaboratively with other engineers, scientists, leads, and other divisions to design, implement, test, and deploy solutions for complex customer problems.

Tasks range from leading other software engineers, mentoring, team/staff career development, process creation and implementation, managing and ensuring a well CI/CD pipeline for product lines, technology vision/planning/roadmaps/execution, code design/development/integration, assistance in proposals, and working across divisions to ensure standardization and compliance.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

Bachelor’s degree and minimum 7+ years of software engineering experienceStrong understanding of software development processes and standardizationExperience leading a team of developers on numerous effortsComfortable conducting oral presentationsExperience overseeing software lifecyclesHistory of successfully delivering production-level softwareStrong understanding and practical application in CM and versioningExperience in designing and executing CI/CD pipelinesComfortable performing development and integration in languages such as C#, C/C++, JAVA, TypeScript, and PythonExtensive experience in developing/delivering quality software using object-oriented languages for different OS Architectures (Windows, Linux, Smartphones, and embedded devices)Experience working/interacting with different types of engineers (ME, EE, SW, Analyst) on a daily basis to develop end-to-end productsExperience working under DFARS and understanding how to structure efforts to conform with regulationsAN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZENQualifications Desired

Experience in automated build tools such as Gitlab, Bamboo, JenkinsWorked on and/or led Agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban)Experience in developing real-time signal processing algorithmsExperience as a full stack developerExperience in Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Fisheye/CrucibleUnderstanding of Containers and KubernetesUse of and understanding when/where/how to use VMsExperience with varying types of OS architecture and the integration of efforts across themA mentality of constant growth to lead the software team and maintain the latest software capabilities and processes.Internal Position TitleStaff Software Engineer
