Come work where others vacation! We are seeking a Nurse Clinical Leader for full time night shift on our 18 bed telemetry unit at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center. We are a very team-oriented department with many precepting and mentoring opportunities. Strong leadership skills are a MUST to help us achieve our goal of supporting the night shift in taking optimal care of our patients. Recently, we received our license for up to 6 of our beds to be progressive care status. We want someone committed to helping us grow our unit to keep our patients up on the mountain. Our floor primarily cares for geriatrics diagnosed with stroke, NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, and post-Cath lab patients. Our unit is our home, and our co-workers are our family. This is a leadership position accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered to their unit. Oversees that staff assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with facility and departmental policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The Nursing Clinical Leader utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of patients on their assigned unit.Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:

Supervises staffing and scheduling needs of the unit.Completes all assigned departmental specific paperwork.Mentors, coaches, and develops staff.Ensures code carts and emergency equipment are checked and functional.Assesses patient needs and oversees activities for all patients on the unit.Implements the plan of care through direct patient care and supervision of unit staff.Evaluates the patient’s and family’s response to care and revises the plan of care as needed.Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record.Promotes professional development within delivery of care.Displays proper behaviors that reflect the SHINE Behavior Standards.Promotes the Patient Safety Standards as a core value of the organization.Job Scope:

Delegates appropriately and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and personnel.Interpersonal Contacts:

Contacts are normally made with others both inside and outside the hospital, frequently containing confidential/sensitive information necessitating discretion at all times.Specific Job Skills & Mental Activities:

This position requires general nursing skills and knowledge of general office equipment, as well as excellent computer communication, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, supervisory, interpersonal skills, basic math skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment when necessary.Physical Demands & Job Conditions:

Exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. The worker is subject to on-call status, contact with chemicals, contact with infectious fluids, heavy lifting, constant standing, and encounters with upset/disturbed individuals.This is a safety-sensitive position.OSHA Exposure Category:
