Surgical Stepdown patients will be managed by stepdown trained nurse.Shift: 12 HR NIGHTS; 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours.Contract Length: 13 weeks up to March 15 acceptedFloat Requirement: when needed to like unitsWeekend Requirement: every other weekend**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as neededPATIENT DIAGNOSES:

Wide range of patient diagnoses that have had or plan to have surgery or involved in a trauma: Cellulitis, Appendicitis, Cholecystitis, Diverticulitis, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Gun Shots, Stabbings, Falls, Various Cancers, Kidney Stones, Bowel Obstruction, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Limb Ischemia, Hernia, GangreneSPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:

Wide range of any inpatient surgical procedure, as well as trauma: Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Hernia Repair, TURP, Ostomy Creation or Closure, Wound Debridement, Tumor Removal, Kidney Stone Removal, Amputations, Fem Pop BypassSPECIAL EQUIPMENT:

Wound Vacs, Chest Tubes, NG tube/Corpak, JP Drains, Hemovac Drains, Penrose DrainsUNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication):
