In this dynamic role, you will lead the design of intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital solutions, contributing significantly to the City of Portland’s digital evolution.In this role, you will:Design : Develop intuitive and accessible digital service designs, creating prototypes, mock-ups and user journey maps to advocate for user needs.Lead and Innovate : Guide design projects from conception to implementation, while staying updated with the latest trends in UI/UX and service design.Collaborate : Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and effective implementation.Research : Conduct in-depth user research and analysis to inform design decisions and improve service delivery.Engage : Advocate for user-centric design principles and maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders.As a candidate, you are:A Problem-Solving Strategist:

required
for this position:Experience
in UI/UX design with a focus on service design.Experience
creating journey-maps, user story maps, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, high fidelity designs, and other human-centered design artifacts.Experience
analyzing data to inform design strategy and product usability.Knowledge
of user research methodologies.Experience
