Endpoint Infrastructure and Design

Complex Infrastructure Design:

Architect and implement scalable, secure endpoint infrastructure solutions, considering factors like performance and compliance.Technology Evaluation:

Research and recommend new endpoint technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.Infrastructure Modernization:

Lead initiatives to modernize the endpoint infrastructure, leveraging emerging technologies.Patch Management and Software Distribution:

Implement robust patch management processes and distribute software applications efficiently using tools like Group Policy, Intune, and Jamf Pro.Performance Optimization:

Continuously monitor and optimize endpoint performance for optimal user experience and resource utilization.Complex Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve complex endpoint-related issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.Endpoint Management

MECM/Intune:

Manage and administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Intune for Windows device management.Jamf:

Manage and administer Jamf Pro for macOS device management.Linux:

Manage and administer Linux systems, including security best practices.Technical Leadership

Strategy Development:

Contribute to the organization's endpoint strategy, aligning it with overall IT goals and business objectives. Provide comprehensive deployment solutions.Leadership:

Mentor the Client Device Specialist, providing technical guidance and training.Security and Compliance

Security Architecture:

Develop and implement security measures to protect endpoints from threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.Compliance Management:

Ensure adherence to relevant security and regulatory requirements.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in computer science, information technology, or related field. Individuals without a related degree may be considered if they demonstrate possession of the same knowledge level found in a degree but have attained advanced knowledge through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction using a 1:1 substitution.8+ years of experience in endpoint engineering and management.Two or more of the following:Apple Devices:

Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing macOS devices using Jamf Pro.Windows Devices:

Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft Windows devices using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and/or Intune.Linux Devices:

Proficient in managing and administering Linux systems, including security best practices.Deep understanding of networking, directory services, operating systems, and hardware.Proficient in deploying and managing desktop operating systems and software applications at scale, including ongoing configuration management for optimized performance and security.Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate and diagnose technical issues.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and build strong partnerships.Ability to secure endpoints within an enterprise environment, implementing best practices for vulnerability management, and access control.Preferred Qualifications

Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust technology infrastructure for a large and complex organization.Experience utilizing project management methodologies to successfully plan, execute, and deliver IT projects, ensuring positive outcomes.Experience applying ITIL principles and processes to streamline IT service delivery and support.Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.Experience with cloud-based endpoint management solutions.Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams.Advanced certifications in endpoint management or engineering.Jamf Pro Certification: Demonstrates expertise in Apple device management.Microsoft Intune Certification: Validates proficiency in cloud-based device management with Microsoft Intune.Additional Industry Certifications: ACSP.Two or more of the following:Apple Devices:

$107,000 - $117,000Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate's education, training and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.Colorado School of Mines offers a robust portfolio of benefits for all employees.
