The Health Clinical Operation Group is responsible for planning and conducting clinical studies. We are seeking a Software Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to work on software tools to support these studies. Come join the Clinical Operation SW & Data Infrastructure team to innovate health study operations to enable accountability, efficiency, expediency and expansion.DescriptionAs a Software EPM, you will have the opportunity to work with experts to build new and enhance Health study apps and infrastructure tools to empower the Study Operation Team to efficiently conduct a seamless research or clinical validation study. The key responsibilities include:Define the requirements and drive the tools development based on study designGuide the design and integration of data collection analysis and study monitoring during study operation process to enable swift vendor bringupScope and prioritize features and bug fixesRepresent the team and its technology in project meetingsFoster good engineering best practices to deliver quality software that adhere to privacy, security, and clinical compliance and safety guidelinesGuide the design and integration of study tools to ensure it meets the study operation needsCommunicate project definition, roadmap, plan, schedule and status to executives and multi-functional teamsMust be fearless organizers who are ready to partner with highly skilled software and hardware teams to brainstorm ideas, identify viable approaches, and resolve potential risks to the execution planWork with large matrixed teams to promote cross team technology sharingInteract with all engineering design fields, data analysis, and additional project management teamsBe able to prioritize issues and track details; at the same time keeping in touch with the big pictureBe adaptive and can respond to changes swiftly, energetically, and enthusiasticallyMinimum QualificationsB.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering discipline5+ years experience leading software engineering projectsFoundational understanding of system software fundamentals and strong curiosity about improving processStrong understanding of engineering development lifecyclePreferred Qualifications2+ years in consumer products and/or other product developmentConsistent track record of timely project deliveryStrong organizational and management skillsSelf-motivated and proactive with critical thinking and resourcefulness to drive the project to successExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience working with and handling external sites and/or managing vendorsDemonstrate excellent judgement and unwavering integrity in making timely and well considered decisionsAbility to influence teams to adopt standard processesStrong human research backgroundPassionate about Health improvement projectsValue a diverse and inclusive work environmentAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
