Responsible for the coordination and execution of all events contracted by the Sales Department.Essential Functions:Coordinate all aspects of operational set-up and break down of events (equipment needs, rental needs, and station set-up).Assist with Production department all aspects needed for an event.Liaison between client and House of Blues Team Members throughout the event.Execute admission tickets and retail requests for Special Events.Communicate in a calm, positive demeanor during the course of the function.Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.Conduct Event Pre-Shift with Operations Managers.Ensure seamless transition for Client from Sales Department to Operations Manager during the event.Handle all aspects of the Special Event once the special event order (SEO) has been distributed.Maintain files in proper order after the SEO has been distributed.Client interaction; conduct site inspections and walk-throughs with clients as requested.Assist Sales Manager(s) with special needs by the client.Conduct meetings such as the SEO Meeting and Production Meeting.Work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the venue.Accounting Functions:Verify Deposit/Payments tracking schedules with Sales Manager.Complete all post-event paperwork.Responsible for proper settlement or payment on the night of the event with client.Manage staff hours to ensure we are not exceeding our budget.Staff Functions:Train all staff regarding proper techniques and etiquette for service.Assist staff and captains with the execution of events.Produce weekly banquet summary for all events.Oversee attendance according to schedules.Inventory Functions:Maintain and order all linen inventory & cleaning.Order equipment, maintain inventory/par levels & report deficiencies.Order all specialty items as sold by Sales Manager.Ensure equipment rentals for SE are ordered and returned to vendors.Obtain permits as needed.Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.Knowledge of all appropriate table settings and etiquette.Working knowledge of fine dining and strong food and wine knowledge.Basic mathematical skills.Ability to operate various food and beverage equipment present at functions.Working Environment / Physical Activities:Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, pushing, balancing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, handling.Ability to lift and carry objects up to 35 pounds.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Job Qualifications:Required:High School Diploma.Working knowledge of Restaurant & Music Hall Operations.Entry-level knowledge of legal and HR issues in the hospitality industry.Exhibits positive attitudes and excellent communication skills.Ability to handle various projects simultaneously.Preferred:College Degree.Minimum of two years management experience in sales/marketing/catering.Competencies and Skills Required:Analysis and Decision Making.Basic MS Office Skills.Building Trust.Interpersonal Skills.Planning and Organization.Communication.This job description is a summary of duties expected to be performed.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYLive Nation strongly supports equal employment opportunity for all applicants.We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable laws.Live Nation will make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.HIRING PRACTICESLive Nation recruitment policies are designed to place the most highly qualified persons available in a timely manner.
