We are currently looking for a Director of Nursing to join our team here at Rolling Hills.

The Director of Nursing Services is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Comply with the Facility’s personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.

Comply with the nursing department’s policies and procedures.

Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator/DON.

Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignity.

Complete assigned in-service training assignments on time and report to work as scheduled.

Develop methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services, inside and outside the facility, to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.

Assist nursing with implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and forms for use in the Facility.

Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator.

Participate in developing, implementing, and periodically updating the resident’s written discharge plan.

Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, and clinical programs as necessary.

Serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility (i.e., Infection Control, Care Management Meetings, etc.).

Determine and meet the staffing needs of the nursing service department.

Prepare performance evaluations and make daily rounds to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

Review and assist with resolution of complaints and grievances.

Administer departmental disciplinary action fairly and without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, handicap, or marital status.

Encourage attending physicians to record and sign progress notes and physicians’ orders on a timely basis in accordance with current regulations.

Review nursing documentation to ensure it is informative, inclusive, and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, reflecting the resident’s response to the care as outlined in the resident’s plan of care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
