Jacobs Medical Center 3GH ICU is a 24-bed Medical Surgical ICU with an emphasis in Oncology, BMT, COVID, and Abdominal Transplants. Including patient populations that require VVECMO who are cared for by internal 3GH ECMO Specialists. Patient populations also cared for are neuro, stroke, cardiology, and obstetrics.Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. Provides basic patient care support: patient transport, specimen and blood and blood products transport, and inventory management.This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Participates in collaborative team environment, including: training and evaluation of peers; scheduling of work; and assisting the administrative functions of the unit.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Active California CNA license.BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.Minimum one (1) year of CNA experience.Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous CNA experience in adult acute care ICU.Experience with Epic, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems.Knowledge of medical terminology.Bilingual: Spanish/English.SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Annual Full Pay Range: $47,878 - $59,487 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)Hourly Equivalent: $22.93 - $28.49Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
