We are in search of a highly qualified and motivated Architect with a California License to enhance our dynamic team. We are open to considering candidates licensed in other states, provided they agree to obtain a California License within two years of employment.

As a Licensed Architect, you will be instrumental in the design and implementation of projects, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise will be vital in realizing our clients' visions while advancing innovative design and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project teams to refine design concepts that meet client specifications and project objectives.

Prepare and evaluate architectural drawings and specifications for precision, functionality, and compliance with project guidelines, budgets, building codes, and other relevant regulations.

Lead the coordination of project activities, engaging with engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective project execution.

Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress, address design challenges, and confirm adherence to architectural plans.

Mentor and guide junior staff members, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices to introduce innovative ideas to the team.

Engage in client communication to present design concepts, gather feedback, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Architect License is essential. Candidates licensed outside of California must agree to obtain a California license within two years of employment.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 8 years of relevant architectural experience, including leadership in project management.

Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in California.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

A demonstrated portfolio showcasing a variety of successful projects and design excellence.

LEED accreditation or other sustainable design certifications are advantageous.

Experience with government, educational, cultural, athletic, and community facility architecture is preferred.

Experience with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) is highly desirable.
