Senior Accountant (On-site)

We’re looking for a motivated self-starter to join the accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, the ability to exercise professional judgement, and possess a focus on process improvement and willingness to undertake responsibilities in support of the team and organization.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform monthly close responsibilities (journal entries, variance analysis, account reconciliations and management inquiries).Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules and coordinate fixed asset tracking with Purchasing and IT teams.Identify, propose, and implement process improvements/accounting changes to simplify or streamline the process and ensure accuracy.Prepare and review financial statements by location/department.Prepare and file Sales and Use Tax returns and Excise Tax returns.Assist in the year-end audit.Ad hoc reporting as required.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.Three or more years of relevant experience.Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred QualificationsCPAExperience with Sage Intacct.
