What you will do:You will function as a technical manager responsible for the overall activities of the DORWAY (SCDOR's integrated tax portal) developers and non-DORWAY systems.

Primary job duties include:Managing, directing, and coordinating the planning and direction of DORWAY developers and technical functions.Establishing priorities and time frames, assigning resources, and monitoring programs.Ensuring assignments are completed on time and meet stakeholder requirements and service level agreements.

Communicating with stakeholders to provide regular status updates.Developing documentation related to resource needs, timelines, and costs for projects/efforts.

Determining future direction of the sections based on work, resources, mandates, and system requirements.Creating and monitoring standards of work, establishing goals, and setting strategies.Providing and maintaining a competent, empowered, and forward-thinking team.Administering the employee management system to include planning, coaching, and employee evaluations.Managing, directing, and coordinating the planning and development, system administration, and support of hardware and software of applications and systems for the development of programs.Testing, establishing priorities and timeframes, assigning resources, and reviewing and assessing progress.Ensuring 24x7 production support for assigned systems to include maintenance, performance, and proper functionality.Minimum and Additional RequirementsEither:A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science, or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing, or information technology.ORFour years of experience in telecommunications, data processing, or information technology.Academic degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.
