To deliver the cures of tomorrow to the people who need them today.Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I, where you will play a vital role in delivering radiation therapy to patients according to physician prescriptions and established standards! Your responsibilities may include a range of procedures, such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and CT-based simulations. In addition to patient care, you will provide clinical instruction to students, contributing to their education and development in the field. Join us in providing exceptional care to our patients and mentoring the next generation of radiation therapists!As a successful candidate, you will:

Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.Reinforce recommendations given to patients by healthcare professionals concerning reactions to treatment and care of the radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects.Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by the physician and assist in dosimetry procedures.Perform daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any variation in morning warm-up. Report improper equipment operation to appropriate personnel.Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program.0-3 years of related experience, depending on training.Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course

OR

Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program.Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy).Certification by the ARRT - in Radiation Therapy CRT.BLS or CPR certification.Hourly Pay Rate: $70.00/hrRadiation Therapist II - If candidates have more than 3 years of experience, candidates may be considered for Radiation Therapist II ($75/hr).City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
