What you will need:License:

Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.Education:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Business or a Healthcare related discipline preferred.Certification:

BLS/CPR certification required, National certification preferred in Medical Surgical or another specialty.Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in relevant clinical setting required. Previous management experience preferred with demonstrated progressive clinical leadership.Skills:

Acute care inpatient Medical Surgical and Neurology experience preferred. Ability to manage relationships, patient outcomes, communication, and conflict effectively.

What you will do:Hold 24/7 accountability and responsibility for the professional nursing practice, professional development, performance improvement initiatives, daily operations, and fiscal management for the assigned clinical unit.Adhere to all regulatory compliance bodies.Create a departmental environment that is therapeutic which promotes engagement with our nursing and multidisciplinary teams.Establish constructive partnerships with peers to promote loyalty for patients, families, nursing, physicians, and employees.Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience.Lead unit and department quality initiatives using research and evidence-based practice.Promote the development of critical thinking skills of all unit personnel through appreciative inquiry.Create and maintain a supportive, resilient, and healthy work environment.Advance practice through the development of innovations and change principles.
