DevOps Engineer Intern

As a DevOps Engineer Intern at IGS Energy you will be working in an energetic and agile environment. The DevOps Engineer Intern is responsible for working with the development teams to drive continuous integration, build and deployment processes, monitoring the production development environment, and providing any improvements to ensure the teams meet their goals to provide exceptional IT services to our business customers.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelinesTroubleshooting compilation and deployment failuresAssist in the management of shared infrastructure services, such as RabbitMQ, Consul, Traefik, and Elastic SearchAssist in the management and creation of servers via Chef and TerraformFacilitate the software release processOther Roles and ResponsibilitiesImprove efficiency and scalability of the continuous integration environment via automationSystem administration tasks such as DNS and certificate managementCreates relevant technical documentationAzure DevOps administration including permissions, branching and source code policiesOctopus Deploy administration to manage software deploymentsProduction monitoring of server and applications to ensure the health of existing production systemsResponsible for coordinating software upgrades and other support tools to ensure successful buildsScripting to facilitate application deployments, server management and automationRequired Skills:Improve efficiency and scalability of the continuous integration environment via automationBasic familiarity with Windows and Linux administrationFamiliarity with version controlMinimum Education and Experience:Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.Ability to thrive in a driven, passionate, creative, and collaborative environment
