MHM is an independent CPA firm that provides audit, review, and attest services, while CBIZ provides business consulting, tax, and financial services.Essential Functions and Primary DutiesIn this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical tax, analytical, operational, management, and client service skills.Serve as client's trusted advisor, demonstrating knowledge of industry trends, identifying client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team.Manage staff on engagement deliverables; complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on-time delivery and on budget.Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.Understand the client's organization, procedures, and internal policies.Review complex tax returns including federal and multi-state tax returns.Understand your clients' goals and needs and service clients directly.Own client relationships and work.Strategize with Managing Directors regarding tax planning.Provide clients with recommendations and guidance on how to achieve their goals and assist in identifying opportunities for growth with clients.Research tax issues and provide guidance to clients.Work closely with staff, assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.Foster a team environment; demonstrate support of management and decisions and build a positive culture.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required.6 years of experience in public accounting or related field.3 years supervisory experience.Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.Proficient use of applicable technology.The annual salary target for this job in this market is $115,000- $170,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
