Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE)
has an opening for a Structural Engineer in our growing Engineering organization. You will be part of our growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines. Our Temporary Works group consists of innovative design engineers whose expertise in designing and building temporary works adds value and ensures the success of Kiewit’s projects.Responsibilities
Design of temporary structures including; formwork/falsework design, support of excavation systems, temporary bridges and crane trestles, heavy crane lift planning, and more.Ensure accuracy of the design drawings.Produce engineering design cost estimates.Analyze and design according to current design codes and structural theories.Communicate and transfer structural designs to contract drawings.Help identify design risks and assist with risk mitigation planning.Provide project on-site design engineering support and inspections.Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil or Architectural Engineering (with Structural emphasis) from an ABET accredited college or university.0-2 years of relevant engineering experience.EIT licensure or eligibility within the United States.Strong academic knowledge of structural engineering.Experience with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MathCAD, RISA-3D) is an advantage.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to travel/TDY assignments based on business needs.We offer our full-time staff employees a comprehensive benefits package that’s among the best in our industry, including top-tier medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
