Purpose:

Under general supervision of the Intact Services Team Supervisor, provides experienced, short term, intense child welfare casework services to intact families in high risk categories; reviews and evaluates safety and risk factors impacting child safety so that children may remain at home; arranges appropriate short term safety plans and develops an assessment of parents' service needs; develops and completes service plans; provides follow up to parents and families to ensure appropriate linkages have been made with service providers; reviews and evaluates progress; provides immediate oversight to families who are requesting non-investigatory prevention services; prepares and maintains case documentation.

Essential Responsibilities , include but are not limited to:

In-person contact with children, biological parents, foster/relative care providers as required by DCFS;

Scheduling and facilitation of required Child and Family Team meetings, engaging children and families in the process;

Monitoring parent-child interactions, as required;

Transporting clients as needed;

Obtaining consents from families and service providers;

Assisting families with community resources;

Ongoing training pertaining to DCFS requirements;

Provide counseling and support services to families;

Referring children and families to other services if necessary;

Requirements:

The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Bachelor's degree in social work or related field from accredited university approved by council on Social Work education with one year experience of subsequent social welfare experience.

Case management experience.

Bilingual is preferred.

Obtain and maintain certification in First Aid and CPR.

Current driver's license.

Current auto insurance.

Ability to transport clients, as needed.

Obtain DCFS Licensure within 60 days of employment.

Obtain a passing score of CANS Exam, Child Endangered Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP) Exam, Specialty Exam and DCFS CWEL Exam.

IT Skills Required: Microsoft Office Proficiency.
