Genesis10 is seeking a Data Engineer for a 12-month remote contract to hire position with a leading client located in San Diego, CA. This role pays $60-70/hr W2 based on experience.Candidates applying must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder and able to work on a W2 basis directly with Genesis10.Job Duties:
Manage data management activities, including oversight of external data providers.Database design and validation.Monitor databases and data management activities daily.Develop and execute SAS macros and programs for clinical trials, encompassing ETL processes, data validations, statistical analyses, and report generation.Collaborate in the design of study protocols, focusing on data collection and management strategies.Support the Data Management and Statistical Programming teams in their activities.Ensure that clinical study databases are designed per established definitions and standards.Conduct data automation tasks independently, including software development, testing, and validation.Coordinate and complete data management tasks with cross-functional teams to adhere to project timelines.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates and entry-level staff.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a related field with 5-8 years of relevant experience; OR a master's degree with 3-5 years of equivalent industry experience; OR a PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience.Software Skills Required: SAS, SQL, database design; nice to have R, Python.Strong expertise in SAS program and SAS macros.Degree in statistics from North America.Preferred Experience:
