Information Systems Security Engineer - TS Clearance with Security
Are you an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) with a background in supporting IT/Security requirements? Join our team in Quantico, VA! As an ISSE you will:Serve as the principal advisor and designer to the Information System Owner.Ensure the designing and implementing of security controls in accordance with the Security Plan (SP) and Department of Defense (DoD) policies.Conduct security assessments and design & implement security controls.Operate and navigate eMASS.Maintain RMF standards and Configuration Management i.e. Baselines.Conduct Audits (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly).Perform STIGS / SCAP on the network and Perform Self Inspections.Assess Vulnerability and Risk Management.Create and maintain system Assessment and Authorization policies.Create, update, and monitor Plan of Action & Milestones (PO&AM), Continuous Monitoring Plan, Systems Security Plan (SSP), Incident Response Plan and other SOP's.Track software and hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Service Life (EOSL).Analyze security logs and summarize technical findings for government leadership.Design and implement security controls.Reviewing and developing Information Systems (IS) accreditation/certification support documentation.Notify the customer when changes occur that might affect IS accreditation/certification.Perform system and network self–inspections.Provide security coordination and reviews on all system test plans.Attend system Integrated Product Team meetings.Perform audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.Perform vulnerability scans and enforce remediation actions.Conduct security surveys at subordinate facilities and gather pertinent security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packages.Coordinate, prepare, and track IS inspections, reports, and responses.Maintain IS security records and advise on and prepare Co–Utilization Agreements.Job Requirements:7+ years of relevant experience supporting DoD/IC security and information technology systems.Special access program experience a plus.Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.Adept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadership.DOD IAT Level III: Minimum of one of the following Certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, and GCIH.DoD 8570 IAT certification and requirements updated 2020.Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee–owned companies in the United States.
