We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our award-winning team specializing in high-end custom residential design and construction. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

Supervise the accounting team and office manager/AP. Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operations functions.

Financial Reporting:

Oversee the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for accurate business results. Prepare and coordinate timely internal and external financial statements. Provide management with crucial information for decision-making, including various reports and financial statements. Deliver monthly business performance metrics and dashboards.

Audit & Compliance:

Coordinate activities with external auditors. Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance, and prepare annual 1099s. Manage cash flow and risk management.

Budgeting & Analysis:

Lead the budget process and assess current accounting operations. Offer recommendations for improvement and evaluate accounting and internal control systems. Review accounting software and supporting databases for effectiveness.

Operational Oversight:

Manage the AP process ensuring accuracy of payments, vendor relations, and insurance requirements. Perform weekly and monthly bank and account reconciliations. Handle month-end entries, accruals, allocations, and job cost reviews. Coordinate annual insurance audits and renewals.

Loan Management:

Prepare and submit construction loan requests to banks. Track active loans, including terms, renewals, and draw requests.

System Management:

Set up jobs and accounts in the accounting system.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.

Proficiency with QuickBooks is mandatory.

Strong multitasking ability with experience managing multiple projects and teams.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Proven ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

Deep understanding of the residential construction industry and standard reporting practices.

Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting various deadlines.

$125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
